Your Massage Visit

What to expect on your first visit:

You will be asked for a confidential medical history which will help your therapist conduct the proper assessment and formulate a treatment plan best suited for your condition.

Massage Therapy is a partnership between you and your therapist, who will help you understand the possible causes behind your pain and how you work together to alleviate it.

The human body has the capacity to heal itself, and your therapist will work with you to learn how you can be part of the process.

Fees are  sometimes covered by:

  • Extended Health Insurance Plans
  • Many extended health care plans do cover massage therapy by a registered massage therapist
  • Casualty Insurers (Motor Vehicle Accident)

After your massage:

The massage therapist will review any homecare required by the client and may include:

  • Stretches
  • Strengthening Exercises
  • Hydrotherapy (Heat/Cold/Contrast)

Massage Therapy is the manipulation of soft tissue and joints to decrease pain, muscle soreness, muscle spasm and to improve greater mobility.  The therapist uses techniques to improve the function of the circulatory, lymphatic, skeletal and nervous systems.  Massage Therapy is often used in the rehabilitation of various injuries.
